Scott Peterson has been spotted smiling in a rare video call with his family from prison - as he files a new appeal over his 2004 conviction for the murder of his wife and their unborn child.  Peterson killed Laci Peterson, 27, and their unborn son, Conner, on Christmas Eve 2002 - and he has been in prison for 19 years.   The new image from the video call on May 22, 2022, obtained by Fox News, shows the convicted murderer grinning ear to ear during a prison conference call.
